Tests.

Remember that big exam I was studying for? Tomorrow is part one. I’m here at ACOFP in Austin decompressing before I have to demonstrate my command of osteopathic manipulative principles and practices.

But it’s not just the certification, boards and licensing exams. Every day medicine will test your strength, will, endurance, patience, knowledge, skill, stamina, confidence, compassion, kindness. There are days when you will feel like you can fly, when you save the day and save a life. There are days when you want to quit because you just can’t anymore.

Always remember that taking care of another person's body and mind is an honor and a privilege. We owe our patients, our colleagues and ourselves the very best we have to give. Treasure the tests because every single one of them makes us stronger and wiser.

Oh, and don’t forget to be kind!!!! Wish me luck!!!
